We don't know if anyone will actually read this policy. But then again, you're reading it now, so we're pretty pleased we took the time to put it here. It gets a bit legal sounding, because we are really keen to let you know that we value your privacy. If we could sum it up in one sentence it would be: We guarantee we will look after your information as if it was the secret location of grandma's stash of gold sovereigns. However the lawyers won't be happy with that, so here is the official stuff:

This document displays the policies of ExpressTurtle put in place to protect customers during information gathering practices on the website www.expressturtle.co.nz.

  1. Intended Meanings for Certain Words
    1. "Content" means any software, data, information, pictures, graphics and other materials published or made available on the website, including all third party content and user generated content.
    2. "Member" means a user that has completed our registration process and created an account.
    3. "User" means any user of the website.
    4. "We", "us", "our" "ExpressTurtle" are a reference to HS White & Son Ltd.
    5. "Website" means this website expressturtle.co.nz.
    6. "You" and "your" are a reference to you.

    ExpressTurtle does not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We will only release account and other personal information if we believe release is appropriate to comply with law; facilitate court proceedings; enforce or apply our terms and conditions; or protect the rights, property, or safety of ExpressTurtle, our users, or others.

  3. Email

    It is our policy to send our members emails throughout the purchasing process and other newsletter emails they elect to receive. Further, it is our policy to immediately remove any member from any mailing list upon the member's request. In addition, ExpressTurtle will send out promotional material to its Newsletter subscribers promoting material related to express turtle. We do use email as a means of receiving feedback from our members, and we encourage you to contact us with your questions or comments.

  4. Updating Your Personal Information

    ExpressTurtle provides you with ways in which you can alter your personal data, including changing your email address, password, delivery address, etc. Please contact us if you have any difficulty with this.

  5. Credit Cards

    We work diligently to protect the security of your personal information, including credit card information. Your credit card details do not get processed or transmitted through or via the ExpressTurtle website; all transactions are processed through a secure payment service provider. ExpressTurtle uses Windcave (formerly Payment Express) to provide this service. Windcave hosts and manages the payment page. All transaction sessions are stored and processed in encrypted strings. Your credit card details are not held by us and cannot be accessed by our staff. However they may be held by Windcave and you can review Windcave's Privacy Policy here.

  6. Cookies

    Cookies are small pieces of information that are stored in a browser-related file on your computer's hard drive when you use our website. We use cookies to improve the user experience. Cookies are widely used on most major websites. We mostly use "session" cookies, which are removed from your computer on closing your browser. A second cookie is placed on your computer (if you choose) for the website to remember you; this cookie is intended to remain forever. These are used so our website can remember that you have logged in already and prevent you needing to log in more frequently.
